Bio

The author is a career practitioner of the “Twofold Way,” with a life defined by service, discipline, and the pursuit of the standard. His foundation was built as a U.S. Army Military Policeman, serving in Bosnia-Herzegovina (1999-2000), before transitioning to a nearly 26-year career in municipal law enforcement. Since July 2000, he has navigated every level of the craft—from Patrolman and SWAT Operator/Commander to VICE Unit Commander and Patrol Captain. A graduate of the FBI National Academy, his tenure has been marked by a commitment to data-driven strategy and the development of the next generation of leaders.

As he approaches the conclusion of his formal service in 2026, his focus has shifted to the “Pen and the Sword” in its truest forms. He is a husband, a father, and a lifelong outdoorsman. An Adirondack 46er and an avid hunter, he has recently traded the precision of modern rifle platforms for the discipline of the bow. His physicality remains a non-negotiable tax; a former SWAT competition winner and half-marathoner, he continues to lead from the front through rigorous Murph conditioning and high-volume bodyweight training.

This site is the repository of a life’s work—exploring The Things Worth Believing In through the lens of a man who has held the line in both the barracks and the precinct for over a quarter-century.
